When adding decorations to your meditation space or yoga studio, one of the best ways to improve atmosphere is to consider matte finished materials.
In this case, I would like to introduce you to some wrought iron wall decor that fits the style of Buddhism and spirituality.
The other advantage of metal decorations is the outdoor and indoor possibilities! We will be comparing wall decor with the circular symbolism of Buddhist spirituality.
Wrought Iron Wall Decor
With the symbolism of the circle in mind, let’s begin to consider some quick additions to your meditation space to improve the atmosphere and encourage a better “calm.”
Square Scrolled Metal Wall Medallion Decor
This 24.5” square-inch iron wall decoration can be placed indoor or outdoor. Though it is entitled “Square,” I feel it is more resembling a circle.
The thin and light-weight design (28 pounds) of the curved metal creates a flowing addition to any wall.

Deco Metal Wall Decor
This 29” square-inch metal wall decoration resembles a french country theme. The interesting and unique aspect of this wall hanging is that it isn’t flat! It is designed more 3D as if the wall is bubbling out with matte metal. The curvy design still offers one complete circle in the middle.
Though it’s a little larger than the last option, it is still only 2 pounds in weight making it easy to hang on drywall. The only very positive factor is it received a great review on Amazon: 4.6 out of 5 stars!

Black Deco Metal Wall Decor
So far, this is the largest decor option and yet it weighs only 1.5 pounds! Don’t be fooled by the image below – in person the color is more antiqued than pure black. The size makes a great option to be seen from a distance outside or to cover a large area on the wall inside (42” square-inch).
The design itself seems French-inspired, but does have three complete circles within the curving elements.

Classy Tree of Life Metal Wall Art Decor
If you don’t like the strictly abstract designs I’ve shown previously, consider the circular tree design. This minimalist 24” square-inch design highlights a tree almost resembling a silhouette of a Bonsai tree. The fine thin metal only weighs 2.6 pounds lending it easy to hang inside or outside.
There are few customer reports on Amazon, but all eleven of them are glowingly positive reaching a rating of 4.8 out of 5.

Handmade Steel Drum Tree of Life
Out of all the options listed in this article, I must say this one has the most interesting purpose besides resembling the “tree of life.” The 3-pounds of metal is not only recycled from hand-cut 50-gallon steel drums, but it also comes straight from Haiti.
Unlike the last options, the design is hard to deny as the tree of life but consider the importance: ancient cultures (from Egyptians, Sumerians, and Mayans) views the “Tree of Life” as the source for Creation. The details in the metal offer undeniably gorgeous artistic choice primarily as a result of the material: Haiti cactus metal (a known art material in Haiti).
If hung outside, do be aware that is can rust. It has a waterproof coat, but it isn’t impenetrable. Another wonderful thing to keep in mind is that it honors “fair trade,” meaning that the artists are “respected as equal trading partners.”

And if you really like the idea of recycled metal from Haiti, they have another 17” square-inch design as well.

And I can’t help but list one more option under the “recycled metal” category of metal wall decor (it’s just so gorgeous – this one I think is the most beautiful option).
Above and below I have another option for a 2-pound, 23” square-inch circular Tree of Life from the same company, Fair Trade Haiti. Click the picture below for more information on Amazon.
Steel Decorative Wall Decor (GBhome)
Just to throw in a different idea than just strict circular design, consider the square frame of this Victorian style wall decoration. The size definitely trumps the previous options at 29.5” square-inch, but with size comes weight – this one also winning the list at 7.3 pounds. Unfortunately, it has no reviews to refer to but feel free to research more options relating to this design on Amazon.
Conclusion
This list only mentions a few options, but all of which fall under a similar theme. Be careful not to mix your earthly atmosphere with something too quirky (for there are a lot of options that cry out “lame.” But of course, if your taste requires something a bit different, don’t be afraid of going for it.
Matte materials, such as wrought iron and rough iron, can add a warm and mellow touch to any room. If you’re looking to improve your meditation space or yoga studio, add more thoughtful decor that has a purpose and a story behind it. Out of all these options, the recycled Haiti metal Tree of Life wall hangings are one of the coolest finds because of the style (of course) but also because of the story.
Here are more options that may interest you when looking to improve your atmosphere:
Best of luck finding more options for metal wall hanging! There are so many options as it is such a trendy addition – I hope to continue looking into options soon.
Have a missed any circular metal wall decor? Or do you have a favorite from the list? Let me know! I’m really curious if others like the Haiti metal art style!
